Program Overview

Curriculum 

We utilize the Creative Curriculum in our program. This curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Department of Education Early Learning Content Standards. Along with this curriculum we utilize Wilson’s Fundations language program.

Philosophy

We provide quality, loving care and learning experiences for children ages three through five years old.

Purposes & Goals

Spiritual – The Christian principles of kindness, sharing, love, respect, and prayer will be an instrumental part of our curriculum.
Cognitive – Demonstrating positive approaches to learning, remembering and connecting experiences, and using classification skills.
Social-Emotional - Regulating own emotions and behaviors, establishing/sustaining positive relationships, and participating cooperatively/constructively in group situations.
Physical – Demonstrating gross motor manipulation skills as well as fine motor strength and coordination.
Language & Literacy- Uses language to express thoughts and needs, demonstrating phonological awareness, knowledge of the alphabet, and writing skills.
Mathematics- Explores and describes spatial relationships and shapes, number concepts and operations, compares and measures, and demonstrates knowledge of patterns.
Science- Uses scientific inquiry skills, knowledge of physical properties, earth’s environment, and characteristics of living things.
Social studies- Knowledge about self, how people live, and simple geographic knowledge.
Arts- Explore visual arts, musical concepts, dance, and drama through actions and language.
